Payment: 50% of payment must be received before work begins. Remainder of payment required at half-way point. You are welcome to send100% of payment at the beginning, if you would prefer.

How to pay: Payment to be made through Interac E-transfer(if commissioner’s bank is in Canada), or through Paypal Invoice(everyone).

Before work begins: I know that sometimes things change fast, and that’s okay! If I haven’t started the work but have accepted the payment, I am happy to cancel the commissions and refund the payment(minus any payment fees incurred by Interac/Paypal).

Once work begins: Refunds will be on a case-by-case basis depending on the hours already put into the commission, and the refund cannot be in full. Please note, for illustration and design commissions, HQ files will only be provided once the art is actually completed.

Pause: The mid-point of the commission is when I require the second half of payment to continue work. If needed, I’m happy to “put your commission on pause” and hold off on further work until you are able to make that payment. Please note: Start dates for paused commissions will depend on my workload at the time that you request your commission be un-paused.

Once commission is complete: Please note, there are several points in the commission process where I will get approval on progress and the commissioner may ask for corrections. Once the commission has been completed, there will be no refunds.

Personal: The owner of the character reserves rights to the character, but I reserve all rights to the art itself. If you commission me, you are welcome to use the piece for any personal use with credit, but the prices listed on this website do not allow for commercial licensing.

Commercial: If you require rights ownership to the art itself, to be able to use the art without credit, or if you want to use commissioned work for commercial purposes(including but not limited to comics, video games, commercial podcasts, merch, etc), please contact me directly at vixie.bee@gmail.com to discuss pricing and commercial licensing.

Privacy: I am always more than happy not to keep all information about my commissioners private, if requested. The only information I would share with the art would be basic character information, the commissioners name & or handle, and information about their social media, if provided.

When it comes to the art itself, a big part of being an artist is sharing our work. If your personal(non-commercial) commission has any sort of long-term privacy/no sharing requirement, it may be declined or if accepted may come with a privacy fee. A privacy term would be considered long term if I cannot share it for more than one month past final art delivery.

If you require an full NDA, please discuss commercial licensing with me before requesting a commission.

Progress updates will vary depending on the commission type and specific piece. All progress images sent for confirmation will be small and heavily watermarked, as they are only sent for approval, not for use.

Generally, progress updates will proceed as such:

⭐ Acceptance of commission, sending of invoice & initial payment.

⭐ Sketch confirmation. This is the best time to request adjustments.

⭐ Lines & flats confirmation(approximate half-way point).

⭐ Remainder of payment(if commissioner did not pay in full up front).

⭐ Confirmation of finished art and final adjustments.

⭐ Delivery of full-size, unwatermarked file.

Commissions will take two to four weeks, on average. If I know it will take me longer, I will confirm that with you before sending an invoice.

If you have a deadline requirement earlier than four weeks, please check with me beforehand to see if it is something I can accommodate. Quick turn around times may require an addition fee.

All prices listed are base prices. I will let you know the price required for your specific commission when I confirm that I can take it on, before sending the invoice. You are also welcome to ask for additions to your commission, but any major additions made after initial invoice is approved will require an invoice addendum to approve the extra work.

Various factors may increase the final commission price, including but not limited to:

⭐ Complexity(highly detailed outfits/hair/tattoos/weapons etc may increase price)

⭐ Detailed backgrounds

⭐ Heavy design requirements for Illustration Commissions

⭐ More than three major adjustments(I will ask for necessary adjustments at each check-in, but changes required beyond that may incur an extra adjustment cost).
